Is my course Government funded?

Monarch Institute is a partner of‘Skills Victoria Funding’ which is a Government initiative which subsidises eligible students who wish to obtain a Certificate, Diploma or Advanced Diploma qualification. You DO NOT have to repay the Government as the funding is not a loan. This funding is expected to be available until 2013.

Am I eligible for subsidised funding?

determine your eligibility by answering the below. Step 1. Are you a citizen or permanent resident? To be eligible you must be either: an Australian citizen an Australian Permanent Resident (PR)(holder of a permanent visa) a holder of a Special Category Visa (sub-class 444, New Zealand citizen) an East Timorese asylum seeker, or a holder of a Temporary Protection Visa. Step 2. Do you live in Victoria? Training needs to be delivered within Victoria by a Victorian RTO. Monarch Institute is based in Victoria and is a Registered Training Provider (RTO) that delivers nationally accredited qualifications that receive Government funding. Step 3. Do you already hold post-secondary qualifications in any field? If you do not hold a qualification in any field which is equivalent to, or higher than the qualification in which you intend to enrol, then you are eligible for Government funding. For example,: if you have gone to high school but have not gone any further in study you qualify for Government funding. If you have gone to TAFE and completed a certificate course you still qualify for funding for the Diploma and Advanced Diploma qualifications. If you have a Diploma then you can receive funding for an Advanced Diploma. If you are under 20 years of age, ANY qualifications you hold do not count and you are eligible to enrol in ANY course at Monarch institute and receive Government funding. If you have a University degree or higher qualification you are not eligiblefor Government funding, BUT you will be eligible for Government funding if: you have started a University degree but have not yet attained the qualification, then you are eligible for funding.
